Effective shea butter hand cream but very heavily perfumed (Tropic)
I picked this up because all the hand washing to stave off COVID-19 has left my hands quite dry. I buy hand creams with high shea butter content because I find them the best for my skin so when I saw this product I was keen to try it.It comes very well packaged - perhaps overly so as it was wrapped in plastic (not great if you're trying to cut down on single-use plastic) as well as having a foil seal on it. You get a 50ml tube, which is a very good size for the prize (£4.99 at the time of writing this review). The cream is thick and seems to contain a high shea butter content as it worked well to soften my skin. The cream was more heavily scented than I am used to, which I think is in part due to the aloe vera content. I didn't find the scent unpleasant, but it is very strong and it lingers for a long time.Scent aside, I was impressed with this product - it's a very good price for what it is and comparable with hand cream products I'd usually buy from L'Occitane or Body Shop so if you're looking to save money without compromising on quality, this may be worth a squeeze.

Disappointing! This hand cream smells of talc and doesn't offer enough moisture to dry hands
I was quite disappointed with this hand cream, I am afraid. The packaging design is - I hate to say - a little cheap, although I do appreciate that it is a small 50ml tube, so an ideal size for a handbag or to pop in a backpack for a day out.The scent of the cream is really not very nice. It has a strong smell of talc and there is certainly nothing tropical about it, it certainly does not smell of the "evergreen rain forest" the packaging suggests. The cream itself is also disappointing, it's pretty thin and doesn't nourish or moisturise the skin anywhere near as much as I had hoped, it is certainly not good enough if, like me, you have dry hands from washing and sanitising your hands and really need something quite heavily moisturising. I am afraid this is not a product I would pick up again, especially with so many decent products out there on the market that deliver on looks, scent and product.

Really good moisturising hand cream.
I adore this hand cream! It’s a dream!I do suffer with dry hands (especially lately, it’s probably due to all the hand washing and sanitising!) and I’ve even been experiencing some tearing of the skin and bleeding due to dryness, so I really needed a good moisturising hand cream. This is it.It’s a great size for being able to carry around easily in my handbag, and of course for travelling purposes it’s fabulous. I’ll be purchasing another for when we are able to go abroad again as I know I’ll be under the size limit for security purposes on a plane, which is fab.The scent is lovely too- really fresh and sweet scented, but not overly so. It’s just a nice feminine and what I’d call ‘summery’ scent. The packaging is okay- pretty to look at but obviously does contain an amount of plastic which I’m not thrilled about as I’d prefer plastic free options nowadays. But still- its a smaller amount of plastics than larger hand creams, and easier to recycle when the time comes. The price is good for the quality- I mean using twice a day (morning and evening) has managed to eradicate any dryness and soreness. So for that it’s well worth it. Cheaper hand creams just don’t work the same way, and the point is we need it to actually WORK.All in all a good rounder.

Not much appeal from the package design, fragrance and to the cream itself.
This hand cream comes in a 50 ml plastic tube with black screw cap. It is rather disappointing in that whilst it is pleasant to use, it is not especially memorable, luxurious or special. It does not have a USP or much appeal - from the cheap squeezy tube packaging to the cream itself. It is, however, small enough, to travel in a hand bag.The aroma is ‘tropic’ but there is almost a clinical smell to this hand cream and I am unable to be transported to tropical isles when using this. Whilst I can detect ‘woody notes’, the ‘rain forest’ does not immediately spring to mind. The cream itself is of a fairly thick consistency. It sinks into the skin effortlessly and whilst it does not leave a greasy feel or irritation, I felt that the pads of my fingers were curiously and bizarrely drier after use?In sum, I would not be inclined to purchase this product. My £4.95 (Amazon June 2020) would be more usefully spent elsewhere - sorry!

Good value, subtle smell, hydrating
You get quite a bit for your money with this handcream, its a 50ml tube rather than the normal 35ml with these style handcreams. The smell is lovely and gentle, with a tropical and slightly floral scent. Only a small blob is needed and the hand cream rubs in nicely. I prefer a non-greasy cream and this isn't greasy. The cream absorbs nicely, not leaving a film that will rub off on anything you touch. My skin feels nicely hydrated and I would purchase again.

Defnitely hydrating
Ok I am a big L'Occitane fan and don't usually try any other hand creams. However I am well impressed with this! I use it all through the day as we need to wash hands so often these days. I find it moisturises my hands well and throughout to the next wash. Thinking it is the shea butter and aloe! It does not leave any sticky residue, it just sinks into your skin. The smell is very fresh and just strong enough. It is a 50ml tube and so far have been using it liberally several times a day for the last two weeks and looks hardly used. Think it will easily last a month maybe month and half (I do FREQUENTLY use it).Keen to try others in the range. Very pretty artwork on the tube :)
