Don't buy this to "just try it out" or you'll end up keeping it! Ok, DO, it's pretty great.
As the title. Got this thinking "I can always return it when I find that all the reviews were wrong". Of course now I'm keeping it. Really has good sound. Not the overwhelming bass thump some may want, or rather, not if you configure it to blend with the music. It WILL thump for sure if you crank it, but that's easy.Blending with music and expanding the musical range so you hear music much better though is much harder. Set this that way and it excels. Even piano hits the subwoofer, and a good transparent sub just expands the fullness of music. The app is neat and easy to use if you Do want to alternate to "I just want it to thump", way easier than getting behind the sub, and I've toyed with it sometimes, but in general I just leave it at one set volume and don't mess with it, after the first week or so of course. It's also super compact, which is really nice if you want to put it, well, most anywhere.

No regrets
I love how it performs so well at low frequency. Solid subwoofer. So far it's doing great. Yet to test it out with different settings.

Good response and lots of control in app
All the enthusiast reviews are right, a very capable sub. It looks very well finished and performs well. Idle power draw is very very low.

This thing is amazing
The sub is OG of all subwoofers. 🔊 I love the low bass. I can feel goosebumps everytime it plays. Also my room is open space and one one works great.

Yes! Hits the spot.
My oh my! This subwoofer punches a hole in my living room - like a M i k 3 T y s o n power punch. I love this sub. It's clean. Why is it clean? it has a ton of power, it has 12 inches, and it has a SEALED BOX! That is the kicker - literally. The sealed box makes this sub tight as my puckered lips after eating a box of sourpatch candies. My 10" ported subwoofer from Klipsch is unbelievably sluggish. It's got a lag when it spools up, so the bass hits late, and then there is stored energy that lingers as the sound rolls off the note. My ported R110SW sub was just lazy and overly strong at a few frequencies, and almost silent at other sub-ish frequencies.

Give it time.
This sub met and exceeded my expectations. The bass it tight, and subtle when it needs to be. But loud and forceful when you want it. From the roar of a giant lizard stomping around Hawaii, to the kick drum of an AC/DC song. It never falters, or fails to impress. For a 550w RMS 12" sub, this box is pretty small. Here is a pic of it next to my 12" Klipsch R-112SW. It's a sealed box, so it's not as loud as others. But that also means the bass is more accurate. (Research "Acoustic Suspension vs Bass Reflex" for more details)But you need to give it a break in period. Right out of the box it has 2 sounds...so soft you can't hear it, and slap happy loud. Nothing in between. Once it breaks in and loosens up a bit (about a week or two of good use) the sound just comes together. The app is a bit odd. Unless you have an older amp, or just a normal stereo set up, it's not good for much. The LFE/crossover is useless for home theaters as the amp does that work. The Parametric EQ is fun until you get it set, then you really never have to tinker with it again. Same with the phase and polarity settings. Still, it's fun to have. Bragging rights I guess. All things considered, this sub is WELL worth the money for anyone serious about their sound. I couldn't be happier.

Took a long to get
Don't know how a towing company can be an authorized to sell this product, hence 4 stars. Larry at Huppins was great, they get 5 stars. SVS and Amazon need to control their sellers better. Product works and sound great Replaced a Klipsch SV-110. Bought it to listen to music.

SVS Sub Review
This sub so improves the sound qulity of my previous Polk however at quite a cost. I have no regrets. I bought this primarily for music listening. Wanted it at previous pre-Covid price of $799 but went to $899. When Black Friday came I got it for $799. Amazon's invenetory of 12 sold out in 3 days so there is great demand for this sub. I still need to activate the app which all owners love & download the Owner's Manual so I can learn to adjust the range (Hz). Subtle or loud deep bass (not ported booming ) is what I desire & this delivers all in my hardwood 20'X15" living room connected with a 120 watt RMS Denon receiver.
