I have been using this carpet cleaner for 6 months now. Very happy with the purchase. It is very light so easy to maneuver unlike my previous carpet cleaner. It is so easy to use this cleaner and I highly recommend it. The only thing that broke was the cord holder. I just used superglue and glued the cord holder back. The things that's awesome about this product:1) Has clean as well as rinse function. After cleaning with carpet detergent, the rinse function removes all chemical residues from carpet.2) The rotating brush can easily be removed for cleaning. I have a dog in the house so hairs does clog up the rotating brush. Clean brush after use.3) Rinse function is the best. Just set the button to rinse and you're done. No need to change fluids for cleaning or rinsing.4) My carpet installer stated that heavily soiled area can never be cleaned. He was wrong. I spray chlorox cleaner on the carpet and let it sit for 1 hr. Then I used the machine rinse function to clean the heavily area. The soiled area looks like new! My carpet is made from rayon so chlorox will not affect the color. Test chlorox on very small area of your carpet first to make sure the color will not fade.

This is my third Hoover pet-stain quality carpet shampooer. The last two were the exact same model and lasted about 5 years, of very hard work, each. This one seems to be the New and Improved model. It's a pretty, new color and a slightly less bulky style. I loved the ease of use and clean-up of the others and they worked great. This new model has those qualities and works FREAKIN' AWESOME. It is still super easy to use and to clean up but the motor is stronger, the power brush works better, and it has some dandy new attachments-- including a power spin brush for upholstery and a floor squeegee. My elderly dog passed away recently after two decades of devoted companionship. He couldn't help his loss of housebreaking skills in the final years of his life, I shampooed A LOT. I bought the new machine to get the carpets back to pre-old dog condition and I couldn't be happier with the results.

I looked at a number of carpet cleaner videos and read a lot of reviews and I must say it was difficult determining which carpet cleaner was the right one to purchase. We previously owned a 25+ year old Hoover carpet cleaner that we used quite a bit and even had lent it to other family members multiple times, so we already trusted the Hoover brand. When our cleaner recently started leaking, I figured it was time to get a new model. And wow - are we glad we purchased this one!This model was carefully thought out and designed and it's made to be very user friendly. We found one of the most important things you can do to extend the service life of a carpet cleaner is to keep it clean after each use. Cleaning our old cleaner was quite the project. However, this new model makes cleaning the unit unbelievably easy - not to mention how great it is at cleaning the carpet. I can't count how many times I've had to work on things around the house and muttered to myself that the designer must had never worked on their own product. This Hoover carpet cleaner is different and is made the way it should be - each part, from the suction tray in front, the cleaning solution container in the rear, to the drain tank and the easily detachable rotating brush rollers is a breeze to use and clean.Regarding the cleaning capabilities - the vacuum suction is fantastic and leaves the carpet almost dry. The five rotating brushes really deep clean the carpet. A testament to this unit's cleaning ability - we had a vomit stain left from our Aussie on light gray carpet that we could never get rid of completely. Even after multiple cleanings over the course of six months with scrub brushes and various cleaners it a shadow of the stain was still visible. After making two passes with the Hoover main unit and then using the handheld rubber nub brush, the stain was gone! Stains were no match for this Hoover carpet cleaner. We used the Hoover pet cleaning solution believing the cleaning solution and carpet cleaner were designed with each other in mind.This carpet cleaner is the one to get if you are serious about getting your carpet clean and getting the tough stains out for good! The $130 I spent was well spent.WEIGHTThe machine is heavier than I expected it to be. I’m so used to stick vacuums that this wait threw me off a bit.SOUNDThe machine is noisy. There’s truly not much more I can say about that. It’s loud. LolSETUP/MAINTENANCEIt was fairly simple to set up, but I must admit, I did have to reference the manual. Disassembling it for cleaning and maintenance took me a while the first time around because detaching the brushes were a bit complicated for me and getting the dog hair out of the brush was an extremely tedious process.VERSATILITYI appreciate how many different attachments come with this machine. So far, I’ve only used it for cleaning my area rugs, but there’s an attachment where I can also clean my hardwood floor, upholstery, etc.CLEANING SOLUTIONI find the cleaning solution to be a bit pricey. There are several more affordable brands, but I’d hate to ruin the machine by testing them out. They provided a sampler size cleaning solution, which worked wonders – even for dog pee.DRYINGThe suction on this machine is incredible. The carpet is left a tad bit damp, but in my experience, it dries fast.OVERALLI really like this machine and would absolutely recommend it to others.
