Good but...
Good product but comes in a plastic box which is actually unnecessary. Could be more environmentally friendly, so for my next purchase I will choose a different brand.

Okay
How useful you find these pH indicator sticks may depend on what you need to use them for. I work in a science department of a secondary school and sixth form and we've been trying them out. For us, it's probably more general use, than for specific applications. (For information the increments of the chart are - 6.0, 6.4, 6.7, 7.0, 7.3, 7.6, 7.9, 8.2, 8.4, 8.6, 8.8, 8.9, 9.1, 9.5, 10.0).Good points - They are simple to use, you dip your indicator stick into the solution to be checked (for weakly buffered solutions the stick should be left in until there is no more colour change), there is a two colour change on the bottom of the stick - you then match your tested stick against the included colour chart to obtain your pH result. You get a result within a few seconds.Niggles - At the lower end of the range 6.0 - 7.6, the colour changes are relatively easy to distinguish. The middle of the range: 7.9 - 8.8, adjacent results are harder to distinguish, by that I mean it's harder to tell the difference between 7.9 and 8.2, than it is between 7.9 and 8.4. I found it incredibly difficult to distinguish between 9.1, 9.5 and 10.0.The actual colour of the stick is the 6.0 result. So, unless you know that the solution you are testing will fall between 6.0 and 10.0, you really need to use them in conjunction with another stick covering a lower pH. If you put them into a pH 5.8 solution you wouldn't get that result, but you wouldn't know that it wasn't pH 6.0.Overall - Works quickly but it depends on the pH range you're wanting to test for. At this price (nearly 17p a stick) I'd want results that can be distinguished from each other across the whole range (6.0 - 10.0). Or sell it as covering the narrower range of 6.0 - 8.8.

Quite expensive. Come in several different versions to measure different pH ranges
These pH-Fix testing strips from Macherey-Nagel measure the range from 6.0 to 10.0. There are other versions of this product that test other ranges of pH value, all the way from 0 to 14, to others that focus on specific ranges, some of which are for medical purposes. I experienced some uncertainty when aligning my test strips with the reference values that are printed on the packaging. Each testing strip is 84mm long and made of plastic so you can do your best to avoid touching the chemical that you are testing. This is obviously important for strong acids and alkalines but not particularly important for the relatively weak range that these strips test. But in any case you don't want to be contaminating your sample by touching it.These testing strips cost about three times as much as others you can get on Amazon. That's quite a difference for a seemingly similar product.

a wonderful tool if alkalising the body
As a nutritionist I encourage people to alkalise their diet as much as possible. These test strips are vital for testing the ph of their urine to see how the alkalising of the body is going. any illness are from having an acid diet and body and alkalising is a great benefit. These strips are perfect and give the mid range of the ph . These strips work perfectly and give a correct indication ot the acidity or alaclinity of your system .They are great to have.
