Good for low tech aquariums
Done the job well for my low tech aquarium. Kept everything ticking over nicely and kept a steady growth rate.Once i went with more complex plants and started using co2 i needed to start using the specialised nutrition version from this company.

This is essential for any tank with live plants!
I use this combined with the Tropica C02 kit. During the 1st lockdown, I ran out of this and went a few weeks without buying a replacement I saw the difference in colouring and plant growth in my tank. Since re-buying and using the plants look allot healthier! This is essential for any tank with live plants

Decent fertiliser for low-tech or sparsely planted aquarium
I've tried various fertilisers, with mixed results. I have been using Tropica Premium now for around 8 months in my 90L planted aquarium, and I've had good results, but not spectacular. Seems to work exceptionally well with vallisneria, which has spread like wildfire but generally grows like a weed anyway, but my micranthemum is struggling. This fertiliser is for a low-tech planted aquarium, i.e. one without carbon dioxide injection, or one with a low plant to fish ratio. It doesn't include nitrogen or phosphorous, as these are present in fish waste. If you have a heavily planted tank or few fish, you should use Tropica Plant Growth Specialised Fertiliser, 300 ml instead. It's always better to dose daily, rather than weekly (as the packaging advises). Rather than the recommended dose of 9 pumps weekly, I dose 1 pump a day. As a result, my plants have regular nutrition and my fertiliser lasts longer. 300ml has lasted me 8 months in a 90L tank.If you have a few plants in your aquarium then this is a good solid fertiliser. Nothing to write home about, but when I noticed I was running out I ordered the same again.

Great product for daily use.
Has a number of fertilizer elements in small doses required for aquatic plants, so daily use is recommended

Doing well
Been using for a few months now and the plants seem to be doing really well

Great fertiliser. Strong growth
Noticeable change in rate of growth. I dose daily with 1 pump in a 160l aquarium with approximately 10 mature plants.

Excellent stuff
We've never had to prune tank plants before! It really works well and has saved us having to regularly replace the foliage so pays for itself!
