Nicely molded with lots of detail and shading they are smaller than the pictures suggest at just over 2.7 inches tall and a couple of inches wide. Inside each skull is an LED tealight powered by LR44 batteries that the listing says are not included but are. Well, in five of the skulls they were, the sixth one was missing both battery cover and batteries and because these weren't in the bag it must have been packaged that way.The effect is very cool with an alternating slow then faster then slow again colour-changing flicker that doesn't really resemble a flicker at all because it's too regular. The light is visible through the top of the skull and through the eyes. Perfect on your Halloween table, doorstep, garden (if it's dry) or in a hand as you go trick-or-treating.

They are like tea lights in a skull and the LEDs colours are auto changing, it gives a great effect and we are going to place them in our front window for Halloween.
