Reliably great
I used to make my own pancake mix until I found this one. It's just great. Turns out perfect every time. We use it for pancakes, waffles, and crepes. Their scone mix is also excellent. It's expensive, but perfection comes at a price. ;)

Very easy and forgiving
I didn't use milk as instruction said - used more than a cup of water and only a little milk for the 1 1/2 cups. Still turned out great.

Great product and great family-run company
Great product and great family-run company. I've been enjoying Garvey's pancake mix for a few years now. Very delicious; you won't want to eat pancakes at any diners again after these as everything else will just be a disappointment. I enjoy them with just some(okay, a lot of Kerrygold) butter and the flour and light sweetness are enough flavor all on their own.I had an issue with a few packages one Saturday when I went to make a batch of pancakes, called the number on the box and left a message not expecting to hear back for a few days, and received a call in the next hour from the Garvey son. He explained what the issue might be (QA issue with packaging too much air as they employ mentally challenged people) and, true to his word, sent out replacement mixes. Great product, ethically-minded owners, and great customer service!

Versatile & Easy To Work With
We've been using Garvey's organic pancake & waffle mix for almost two years now.We first chose it because it was organic, and we liked the fact that you can make both waffles and pancakes with the same mix.For waffles, we use a Waring Pro WWM1200SA Double Belgian-Waffle Maker, Black , while for pancakes, we used to use a Hamilton Beach 38540 16-inch Step Up Skillet, Black . However, the surface on that has started to degrade, so now we use this mix to make pancake-style pizzelles, using a Chef's Choice 834 Pizzelle Pro Express Bake .The mix is easy to work with - just add eggs, milk (although we use 1 1/4 cups of water) and oil, and you're ready within a few minutes. Sometimes for variety we add 1/4 cup Vanilla Syrup ( Flavorganics Organic French Vanilla Syrup -- 8.5 fl oz ) and reduce the water to 1 cup, or we add some cinnamon sugar, etc.Whatever you make, they come out tasting and looking great, which is why we're still using this product two years later.

Delicious pancakes!
These are probably the best boxed-mix pancakes on the market. The only reason I didn't give five stars for "value for money" is that you get maybe two and a half servings per box, if you are a single person. That said, during these times when having breakfast out isn't an option for many of us, it's worth it to enjoy a great batch of pancakes.

Nice flaor/taste but expensive
I can see why the other reviewers like this stuff; it tastes good and is relatively easy to prepare. Besides that, it is organic. These are all positives; the only downside is you get six small packages for around $15 or so, and each package is one meal for two people. Remember, this is only pancake/waffle mix; there are no exotic ingredients in it; basically an unbleached flour with a few other small things. Bottom line, it's a very good product, but so is Carbon's. The key seems to be getting the right waffle maker (I have been talking about waffles the whole time here); I just spent another hundred bucks on another waffle maker (a Waring 300), and from what I have read, this unit is supposed to produce a better quality waffle, all else being equal. Notice for all my rhetoric I still gave it 5 stars. It really does have a nice flavor.

Delicious mix, good sell by date
This mix is wonderful, and it doesn't expire until 2011, not that it will last anywhere near that long in my house.I've made it twice already, and the second time I added some almond meal just for fun (I didn't measure- but it was between 1/3 and 1/2 cup), since it was so good when I added it to the Garvey's scone mix. The almond meal was terrific in the pancakes. It did not make them less fluffy, and it gave them a wonderful nutty flavor. I eat mine with honey- fabulous. And my kids liked them as well. I use butter for the oil, and I also use non-homogenized (cream top) whole milk.I have now tried all the Garvey's mixes and I have been very happy with each and every one. There are not many brands I can say that about.
