Really nice controller
Not had it a great deal of time, about a week, so can't speak for the longevity of it, I'll update my review if I have any issues, but so far, very happy with it. Feels good and chunky in the hands, might be a little too chunky for some folks but perfect for my big hands, nice smooth premium feeling plastic and the grips feel great. Got some paddles with it, not sure about those. I use them in calm parts of a game but tend to revert back to the buttons during a fight. Also they seem to hurt my tendons up my arms and fingers, but not sure if that's just me (I'm getting on a bit these days!). I can't see me using the paddles long term to be honest, but I'll persevere; I like the idea of them.Battery life is good, thumbsticks feel great, might buy some bigger ones at some point, see if they make a difference. All in all, very pleased. Expensive, but not insanely so (have you seen the price of the PS equivalent? 😳) Glad I splurged.

Brilliant customisation and variability for a controller.
👍To start off these controllers look incredible the white set against the black make this controller look really good.I have both the all black and the white/black and to me the white/black really do look much more impressive. They fit really well in my hands, the textured palm holds give a comfortable secure hold when lightly held and the weight is heavier than original controllers but not uncomfortable. The interchangeable thumb sticks, Dpad and extra customisable switches at the rear give more control over your own personal preferences meaning you can adjust this controller in a whole range of ways without ever having to purchase a brand new controller. The battery life is also really good however when battery is low in the middle of a game, the extra long charging cable will not distract you from what ever your ideal gaming position/distance is from your screen.Really impressive all round controller with great variability/interchangeability and a premium feel I have not been disappointed.

Best so far
This is bar far the best controller I have had for the Xbox, the weight, balance feel and grip makes this a pleasure when game playing, with the addition of the customisation, profile settings makes this a must.

Great Controller With A Common Flaw
I’ll start by saying the Elite Controller Series 2 is a fantastic controller. The build quality, the way it feels in the hand, the battery life and the extra paddles on the back all make for a great gaming experience. And I love using this controller. The problem is and after doing some reading after about 12-15 months one of the bumper buttons will fail, for me it’s the right bumper button. Which after reading this is a very common flaw with this controller. The right bumper buttons failing is the most common bumper button to fail out of the two.For now I’ve re-mapped the bumper button to one corresponding back paddle buttons, which is working fine for me. For now at least. I not one for misusing the controller, I’m in my late 40s and look after my stuff, so it’s not like I’ve been throwing the thing about, or slamming it down. It’s just a well know fault with this controller. So if you’re looking to buy one of these controllers I’d say they are definitely worth the money. But be aware that you may be looking to replace it in a years time due to the bumper buttons failing. And if you buy the core version you may not have the option the remap the buttons as I’ve done, as the core version doesn’t include those paddles.

Excellent Upgrade for a Regular Gamer
I got this for my Xbox and occasionally use it on my PC as well it connects easily via Bluetooth and feels solid in the hand. The white Core Edition looks really sharp, and you can tell it’s built to last. The sticks are smooth, and the grip is comfortable even after hours of play.It doesn’t come with the paddles or fancy case (that’s in the full Elite pack), but I just wanted the controller itself and it’s spot on for the price. I mainly use it for fast-paced games, and the trigger locks help with reaction time. Battery life has also been impressive I only charge it once every few days even with regular use.If you’re not fussed about the extras, this version gives you all the performance at a better price.

Shame on you Microsoft
This....this is a controller that could be better and it hasn't learned from the previous iteration. It has the looks, feel (only feel), weight and extra paddle buttons to really make it a great controller. But you will need to buy them, same for the D pad.I have had four elite controllers. 1 x OG from the SSHDD Elite Xbox one, and 3 x Elite 2 controllers, (2 x Elite 2 and 1 x Core 2 white.)The first three failed on the sticks in a year and the LB buttons and RB started to conk out and that isn't from hardcore play, just on and off. Grips peeled off, stick drift... Elite my ruckus mc'tuckus.Now...Core white, this one. Stick drift after three weeks and the B button would not stop sticking. Right there and then I just sent it back and felt so depressed (1st world problems.)If you can pick one up off eBay for a steal and mod it to have hallsense you will be better off. But be warned on the failing RB and LB buttons down the road and those grips will peel off, get a silicon skin and thumbgrip protectors.Software is okay "Xbox accessories." But for the life of me I could not figure a way for the controller to use keyboard binding in wireless mode as it would default to the base preset, even with profiles.Pure shame, it matched my white PC build...In the end, slap the extra on and go for something else as I went for a Nacon Revolution X unlimited.
